Lesley, The Cuddle Quilter, blogged about your mystery quilt, so I thought I'd come to visit. When I saw this post, I thought I was looking at my own blog! I just finished posting the same panel today because I just finished it yesterday! I did the text panel first and this one second, so I will go on to the third panel, which I think has more stitching on it. What a coincidence!
On a side note: DD is also doing your mystery quilt, she has the first installment done as well. She's waiting to come visit so I can help her with her blog to start posting and sharing. I won't add her photo to the Flicker batch until she comes over, hopefully today or tomorrow. You have intriqued so many to do your Mystery Quilt, what fun!
Last September we did visit Canada and in Peterbourough Ont in a nice quiltstore I bought this pattern. Have not started working on it,did start your mystery quilt though. Like it very much. Greetings from The Netherlands
I'm a quilter, love everything about this great craft. I've been quilting since I was just a little girl, blessed to have both of my grandmothers influence and teaching to start me on my way. The first quilt that I remember working on was a Grandmother's Flower Garden. My maternal grandmother, Fanny, helped me get started, I was around 7 or 8 years old. I still have that work, never did finish the quilt though. My maternal grandmother, Dot, often had a quilt in the frame when I was a little girl. I spent many wonderful hours playing under that quilt frame, in my world of imagination. And I was so blessed as I grew a bit older to have her teach me the fine art of hand quilting. Today, I still love hand work, but also love the convenience of today's modern techniques.
This is a place for me to share the love of quilting with you!
